Chesapeake Alliance and UVA's Miller Center Presented Presidential Recordings
Chesapeake Alliance President Glenn Hampton was instrumental in having the organization host the Miller Center from UVA for a presentation of presidential recordings. A small group attending the event held at the Greenbrier Country Club enjoyed hearing actual oval office tapes of Presidents John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard M. Nixon. Still photos of the presidents and those they were speaking to were shown simultaneously.
The Miller Center is a political nonpartisan affiliate of The University of Virginia that specializes in presidential scholarship, public policy, and political history and applies the lessons of history to the nation's most pressing governance issues.
